Even its hospital and buses are going to be done away with. The farmer, Ouchi Masato had once attempted organic farming in his 20s, but failed. He chalked up a lot of debt, left his parents and daughter, Miho, and fled to Tokyo. 13 years on, Miho, the village’s only young person, goes to Tokyo and tries to get a job.
